Hello, I'm Annastasia Georgiou,
the CEO of The Beauty Hub

With a love for creativity and a sharp sense of beauty trends, I’ve made it my mission to shake things up in the beauty world. My love for cosmetics quickly grew into a passion for becoming a nail technician.

Knowing that the typical 9-to-5 wasn’t for me, I channeled my energy into building my own brand and stepping into the role of CEO, pushing boundaries I once thought were out of reach in the beauty industry.

Being a CEO is more than just running a business – it's about creating a community that shares the same passion.

In such a fast-paced industry, my focus is on keeping The Beauty Hub fresh and ahead of the curve. I want my brand to represent beauty, quality, and empowerment for everyone.

My Story

It all started when I had my first business which was selling strip lashes online. I opened up this business in 2020 and then 2 weeks later after launching the business , we went into lockdown. This made things 10x harder for me , as a new business owner I literally had no idea how to run business or anything. So this lockdown meant everything was going to run really slow me , felt like I took 10 steps back.

Few months later, the business started to take off very slowly , I was still learning how to actually run a successful business. At this point I had left school so the main focus was building the business. I mean it when I say I walked away from school with no qualifications , failed everything. School wasn't my thing , I'm not academic at all. My heart and soul went into this business because there wasn’t an option of failing or giving up. Knowing there wasn't anything to fall back on was so scary for me. I knew it was this or nothing and knowing that from a young really opened my eyes to so many things.

A year and half later, the business was doing well and the business went global, I was shipping packages to France , Greece, Spain , India, Australia and the United States & more! I was so proud of myself that I was able to achieve this milestone within my myself.

In 2021 I had an interest in nails , i told my family about the idea, they was very supportive about the idea and said go for it! But everyone thought it was just a hobby and it would go anywhere. Then the week after I booked a nail course to go on. Yes I did move quickly with it but I just wanted to get started. I went on the nail course and learnt absolutely nothing. The course wasn’t what I was expecting or hoping for, they didn’t even tell me how to sanitise or disinfect my tools???!!! I did try and look for other courses to enrol on but honestly there was nothing. So this left me with no option but to research online because they didn’t even offer a support system.…I began to invest into stock and things I needed to start my nail career. I still had my strip lash business on the side but my main focus was practising my nails as I didn’t have the best experience on the course.

3 months later , started to get better at nails but was still not the best. If I’m being honest it was rubbish. I could see some process but very slowly. I was practicing till 2am in the morning nearly every night just because I wanted it to be perfect. During this time of me practising nails, things was getting too much having to run two businesses. I was feeling stressed & overwhelmed didn’t know what I wanted to do but for some reason, I have more of an interest in nails then I did with the strip lash business. I started to hate an online business as I was working in person with clients and I just preferred to provide a service to people. At this point I knew things weren’t flowing for me and change needed to happen. So after a few weeks of thinking about things I shut down the strip lash business to fully be committed to my nails. So I went along and closed down the business and became full-time nail technician.

1 year later into the nail industry, I began to love doing nails. It’s a huge passion of mine since day one. I was home based for 2 years and was able to build an amazing Client base from home. During this time being home based, I booked an online lash extension course and I practised for a few months and I really did not like it. It wasn’t for me and I literally stopped after six months. Then I wanted to try something new so I booked an aesthetics course. The course was really overwhelming, but it was a good course to go on and I did pursue for a year and a half. Then one month after the course, i moved into a studio as I didn’t want to be home based anymore. But I came to a big decision last year august 2023…

In August 2023 the decision was aesthetics or nail Academy…. This was a really hard decision to make because I loved doing aesthetics but I also needed my academy to grow and it was a decision of what I actually loved doing more and working with the space I have now I only could do one or the other. Many tears and sleepless nights over this decision. I went along with picking the nail Academy as I love seeing people grow and helping students achieve the best vision of themselves. Best decision I made was picking my nail Academy because I’m a big believer on do something you love!

When I launched the Nail Academy, my goal was to not provide a course like the one I went on and I knew their was a gap in the market for nail courses in the West Midlands so this is when I said “yeah let’s make this different” not only do i qualify people in nails but I also make sure that students don’t stay small minded. Mindset is everything in business! All my knowledge and experiences over the years has now been put in to the Academy for me to teach students how to do nail and to teach about the nail industry. I love seeing my students journeys from the day that they came to me and how much they have grown since! I knew I wanted to create a safe space for girls to come learn and to reach their highest poetical during my courses. It isn't just a "nail course " this is a new chapter for you and a new business to build. Even if students come onto my course and don't have a clue ... that's ok! I'm here to help you every step of the way.

Juggling Client work and my nail Academy can be hard sometimes. Alongside running a whole business on your own can be really scary. Being your own boss does mean you make so many decisions and it is really you vs you but what I say to all my students would you rather work for someone else’s dreams or would you rather make your dreams come true?

If you have read this far this set a goal , believe in your potential and MAKE IT HAPPEN! Failure is not an option.
